The Georgia Lottery’s purpose is to raise as many dollars as responsibly as it can for specific education programs in Georgia. The contributions to the education programs continue to grow with the record-breaking sales. The Georgia Lottery has contributed more than $7.4 billion to the Lottery for Education Account to date.

While Georgia Lottery players have won more than $11 billion since the Lottery’s inception in 1992, more than 850,000 students have had the opportunity to attend colleges and technical colleges through Georgia's HOPE scholarship program; more than 635,000 four-year-olds have attended Georgia's Pre-kindergarten program; and Georgia's public schools have benefited from close to $2 billion in capital outlay, computer and technology upgrades.
